LabOnline User Help

The LabOnline Help Guide describes the functionality of each page in LabOnline. It includes step by step instructions for each feature. The intended audience includes all users of LabOnline. Because LabOnline is customizable based on laboratory needs, some of the options referenced in the steps and images of this guide may not be available or may be named differently. Please direct any questions to your laboratory.

If you have a question about a feature you are working with, F1 will open this guide to the related topic. Contact Laboratory options are available throughout LabOnline to get additional help from your laboratory about a specific sample, workorder, patient, or related record. LabOnline has been tested on Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome browsers. It is recommended that you run LabOnline only on these browsers for optimal performance.

LabOnline v13.4 includes several usability improvements including support for browser and O/S font size adjustments, full keyboard navigation support, and a new hint icon added to the grid headers that displays the list of keyboard shortcuts. If configured by the lab, the Collection Supplies feature now displays the carrier and airbill for shipped orders. Clinical orders may now capture County for patient addresses on the Order Tests page.

LabOnline facilitates the self-service of data by enabling authorized laboratory customers, sample submitters, and report recipients to obtain detailed information about the samples they submit for testing. Users can filter workorders, samples, and results, as well as download and/or print reports that have been created on their behalf. Information inquiries are conducted in a secure environment where the user only has access to permissible samples and results.
